I have had these earbuds for about a year and a half, and my experience with them was not great.
The positives: They were loud enough and did alright at noise cancellation.
The negatives: Shortly after I get them I could see that an internal part of the speaker became disconnected. The speakers then would make a sharp squealing sound if I put them in my ears tight enough to keep them fixed in place. Eventually the speakers started to make a squealing noise as soon as I took them out of their case. And now they won’t pair with any device. I have read the users manual and followed the instructions to the letter with no success. I will not be being this brand of earbuds again.

Jo –
I bought the Ally Plus 2 at the end of October 2021. A year later in October 2022, the earphones started emitting a high-pitched and loud noise in ANC mode. The Taiwanese distributor replaced them with a new pair for me. Then, another year passed, and at the end of October 2023, the earphones again developed the same problem on time. However, the distributor refused to repair them citing an expired warranty and asked me to pay for a new pair. I am extremely disappointed with the product quality and the service approach.

First of all, I work in a manufacturing facility, I have tried 3 other earbuds before I happened across the cleer brand. After reading a bit about the products and company I decided to purchase yet another pair of earbuds. I work around heavy machinery, air tools, impact wrenches and robots. These are far and away the best at canceling all the background noise out. The only thing they struggle with is hissing air hoses. Also the ambient adjustability through the app allows you to clearly hear and interact with employees, and listen to the machines when needed with just a couple touches to the earbud. I’m so happy I found these! The sound quality is great as well! I’m a Cleer customer. Keep up the great work, I’ll recommend you to anyone.

These earbuds have a very classy, unique design, and they sound great for a mid-range priced pair of earbuds. I test out a lot of different earbuds and headphones; if there’s one type of item I’m most interested in, it’s audio products. These were my first from the brand Cleer, and I’ve come away mostly impressed, and even better, hopeful for the future of these earbuds. The buds have a distinct round look with a small protrusion on the bottom front as the earbuds face outward, which seems to orient the mic towards your mouth for calls. My ears are average sized for an adult male, and the buds sit basically flush with my ears. The included tips (M) fit me perfectly, so I didn’t change them out for either of the other options. The sound quality is very nice. It’s a little on the warm, bassy side, which is good for most modern music, but it’s pretty neutral overall and seems to reproduce music pretty faithfully. There’s nothing bad I can say about the sound. They’re maybe not quite as detailed and nuanced as my Sony over-the-ears, but they’re also 1/3 the price and earbuds. They sound really good to me, so on that level, I’m happy with them. The features are where things are a bit more of a mixed bag. These advertise ANC, and they also have a pass-through mode to allow ambient sounds in. When I first got them, the ANC was laughably bad. I could literally discern no difference between ANC on and off except for the major frustration that ANC on would produce terrible wind interference when I wore these while exercising. The pass-through mode works pretty well in a static environment. If I’m working at home at my desk, I can use pass-through so I can hear if my wife or kid is calling out to me. If I’m out exercising, pass-through just means terrible wind interference, just like ANC.These have a dedicated smartphone app that allows you to turn on or off the ANC and pass-through mode as well as make some EQ changes. The EQ changes are helpful as you can tweak the already good sound to fit your preferences. It’s frustrating that the app has to be used to modify ANC. It’s also frustrating that ANC is on by default. You can change the touch settings to be able to use an earbud to turn ANC/pass-through on or off, but that sacrifices other touch functionality (skipping tracks). So more options for touch controls would be a big benefit. Luckily, the touch functionality is neither overly sensitive nor non-functional. It does what you set it to do in the app.The last paragraphs probably sounds fairly negative, and to be clear, there are some problems with the features and usability on these, but there has already been one firmware update to the earbuds (delivered again through the app – don’t buy these if you won’t install the app on your smartphone), and I’ve noticed improved ANC. It’s still not class-leading (and probably still not even middle of the pack for this price point), but it’s better than before. That gives me hope that further improvements may come. Hopefully they may also use future firmware updates to improve the touch functionality.Frustrations aside, these are great looking and sounding, so they’re not a bad choice if you don’t care that much about the ANC. If you want ANC in a similar price range with similarly good sound quality, consider trying the 1More ComfoBuds. Those have jaw-droppingly good ANC for the price. Again, if ANC isn’t that important and you’re willing to keep updating these via the app, you’ll get nice and attractive headphones that offer more good than bad in my opinion.

Okay, here’s the deal. I started with a pair of Cleer Halo neck speakers and absolutely LOVE them. Not so much for music, but when I am walking around like cleaning up in the kitchen, I will put on an audio book and bluetooth it through the Halo neck speakers. Then came the Cleer Enduro ANC headphones and their “smart” capabilities through the app on my phone. These Cleer Ally Plus II earbuds are also smart and pair up with the same app as my Enduro headphone. I love the equalizer – put on a song or two that I like and set the equalizer for my preferences. I can also turn the ANC off and on through the app. I have relatively small ear canals so I did have to change out the pair of plugs that was one them when I received them, and they do come with a nice set of plugs in different sizes. They sit well in my ears with the smaller set of plugs on and feel very secure. Sound is excellent and the app is a nice way to make these buds more personalized. I have to say that the three Cleer items I have are excellent – the neck speaker is great for both music and audio books and I love laying back in my recliner with them on and listening to a good book (I have serious issues with my eyes), the headphones are my personal favorite because I love the ease and comfort of over the ear headphones, but the earbuds are great when I want something smaller and less obtrusive than either of the others. All my Cleer audio picks including these earbuds have wonderful sound and that is what we use them for, right?

I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing quite a few Ear buds and these are some of the best ones so far, also the most expensive. These fit in my ears and feel fairly comfortable but best of all they stay in place whereas most others want to fall out.Another thing which is in line with the fitment is I don’t have to push them into my head to make the sound louder, it naturally just works well.Noise canceling works good.Look is unique.Overall, really great earbuds that I would definitely recommend.
