This is my go-to special headset. Long battery life long standby. Pairs easily before you even put them on. It has the step counter which is very accurate, two to four steps +/- per hundred steps, depending on speed. They are very light I often forget I have them on after I pause the sound. If one falls out you are alerted to it.

These open ear head phone ranging from $150 to $180 depwnding on sale price and all that, are a nice change of pace from in the ear, earbuds. They connected to my Samsung phone with ease, however my wife couldn’t get them to connect to her galaxy watch as of yet, so I have to look into that. The sound quality for cleer open ear is good but I wasn’t blown away, especially for the price. The battery life is good. I’ve never had them die, and when I’m done the charging case will recover them to 100%. The case needs to be recharged after about 25 to 30 hours of use. It claims to over UV technology that keeps bacteria at bay. I have no way of testing this, but they is a blue light that shines I’m the case. They are comfortable to wear, adjust with a simple squeeze to form around ear, and don’t crap out when you sweat during activities. I did not test them in the pool I just feel like they would come off or reduce their life. You can change songs, and volume by tapping on the “touch pad” on the side of the earphone. I felt this to be clumsy and I have yet to master it, although it’s probably me.Ok, for the final verdict, these are nice, they appear to be a trusted brand, however I think they are a bit on the high side price wise. I have Openrock ear phones for about $120. I think they sound the same or better, are easier to control, and the case is smaller. The real difference is in the $50 more the cleer cost. So, if price is not a buying factor these are good. If you want to save a little bit of cash, there are some other options that are close to these.

They stay on my ears perfectly. The weighted back works as an anchor. The sound quality is better than any in ear headphones i ever used. Would reccomend them 20 times over. Very satisfied.

These don’t sound bad but they aren’t cheap either. My issue with these is sound volume. If you are sitting in a sound proof room these might be okay. But get outside running, a big no.These would start hurting my ears after 15-20 minutes.I can’t recommend these at half the price.

FAST FACTS:PROS: Nicely made, feature rich, good sound, comfortable, thoughtfully designedCONS: Not that loud.DETAILED REVIEW:Cleer Audio’s Open Ear Headphones are very well made from high quality materials. The case is particularly nice with a fabric covered exterior and smooth lid. The headphones look and feel high end.The Cleers connected to my iPhone 12 Mini running iOS 17 smoothly, quickly, and easily. Once I took them out of the case and placed them on my ears they showed up in my phone’s Bluetooth menu. The connection was strong and it did not cut out. The controls on the buds worked well to control music playback and were easy to operate while walking.Considering the way that the headphones lay above the ear canal sound quality is pretty good. There is actual bass, vocals sound clear and warm, and instruments are distinct. I listened to a wide variety of music genres from pop, to jazz, to classical, and they all sounded good. With that said, the open ear design means that they are not particularly loud. Don’t get me wrong, I could always hear my music, but the volume needed to be turned about 3/4 of the way up to really hear it in a normal outdoor environment where there were cars, people talking, and other noises. If you’re in a quiet room they are much easier to hear. The benefit of the open ear design is that I could always hear my environment and easily carry on conversation. The Cleers are very comfortable to wear. They are lightweight and don’t shift around easily, even when briskly walking. I can wear them with sunglasses.Battery life is high and the case charges quickly. All in all… great earbuds.

I have been a fan of neck headphones ever since LG debuted the original design a very long time ago. Nobody had anything similar, and I was skeptical of them. Why would you want to wear headphones on your shoulders and hug your neck especially during working out? I gave it a try and fell in love (after making a few adjustments.) But LG Tone’s headphones came with some annoying flaws with each successive model, one of which was audio cutting in and out, and the other being that they did not last very long: their headsets died within a year. I had three of them. All died within about a year. Customer service was terrible. LG was flying high on its exclusive design. Then came the copycats. They were even worse.Fast-forward 10 years later, and wireless headphones have become de facto, particularly with the introduction of Apple’s AirPods. The problem with AirPods is that they could easily drop off during more intense workouts. I lost 2 during marathons. That made the races even more than I wanted. Alas, I was never able to locate them — either they were swept away, taken by someone, or crushed by other runners or cars. Who knows?I tried over-the-ear, wireless headphones and all disappointed short of buying the very expensive brands. A running mate recommended I try out Cleer. And so I did. I never heard of that company, actually, but the feature set sounded good: sporty look and design, ability to connect to 2 Bluetooth devices at the same time (so I could answer both my personal and work phones without having to switch over), good sound quality (it had clarity and decent bass when I briefly tried my friend’s), and looked to be able to stay on the ear better.PROS- Quality material- Sat comfortably and securely even during high-intensity workouts- Great sound with decent bass- 7.5 hour tested usage (takes about 2 hours to charge)- Reasonable pricing to LG Tone’s neck headphones- Voice calls sounded good to other side (while drowning out background noise)- Connect up to 2 devices at the same time- Sweat proof at IPX5 (X means that it was not rated against dust protection. Second number is for water protection and is out of 6)- Bluetooth 5.3- Carry case included that also acts as UV sanitizer and battery charger packing enough power for 3 more charges (Manufacturer claim. Didn’t test this out)- Cleer+ App smartphone app allows additional customizations and controls and perform firmware updatesCONS- Volume could be a bit louder, especially if you’re going to use it on an airplane [EDIT: You can make it slightly louder on iOS by going to Settings > Sound > Headphone Safety > and turning off “Reduce Loud Audio”]- Bass could use some more powerCONTROLSTapsEarbuds can be tapped to control music and take/make callsHead MotionDisabled by default, and I did not want to turn it on to test because I don’t want my head to accidentally trigger things while working out. I just want the headset to play music and take/make calls, that’s it.TIP: Should you need to reset the earbuds, put them into the charging case and long-press the “MFB” button for 10 seconds until it says “Restoring Bluetooth Setting” [sic]Overall, I really like this set of headphones after my disastrous experience with the LG Tone neckbands. LG’s original was great, but LG’s subsequent models, their poor customer service, and poorly-executed copycats made me stay away from this type of headphones. Cleer did great with their take on this headphone. Many thanks for the recommendation from my running mate!
