Great improvements over the original Arc earbuds. Cleer Audio definitely listens to their customer feedback and addressed the shortcomings.
Similar in design to the original, these Arc II’s don’t go into your ear, but rest on your ear. I don’t like in-ear earbuds, so this is a lot better for me. I can still hear ambient sounds around me while I’m at work which is what I need.
Audio fidelity is very good. It’s not going to win any bass awards but has a very nice balanced sound that sounds great with music, movies, or podcasts. I wouldn’t recommend these in a very loud or noisy environment though, as they would probably get overwhelmed. But for most public places, work, or home they work just fine.
Comfort is good just like the original. If you’ve ever used a behind-the-ear bluetooth headset, this has a similar feel. After about 3+ hours, my ears do start to feel them. I usually take them out for a while and then put them back on. 8 hours straight would probably be too much though. Also, if you wear glasses, keep in mind this also wraps around behind the ear and may cause comfort issues. My wife wears glasses, but she said it doesn’t bother her.
The carrying case now includes a battery and charges via USB type C. You don’t have to worry about carrying cables around constantly to top off the charge on these. Both the case and earbuds are detected in the app so you can always see your charge levels. This is a huge improvement over the original Arc and was sorely needed.
The app itself is pretty basic though. Some sound equalizer tweaks are available. I tried various options, and found the Flat or Pop music setting the best for me. Rock or bass heavy settings made the audio very muddy sounding. No Android widget available.
Touch controls work excellently. I can quickly pause my music with a tap and this earbud has a nice flat surface, it’s easier to work with than smaller buds I’ve used.
If you want some earbuds that don’t go into your ear, these are very good and comfortable.

Hi Derek, Thank you so much for your kind and detailed review!
S Growdon –
My wife purchased the Arc II earbuds for me this summer for use while riding my bike. Since then they have been only trouble. They have difficulty syncing with my iPhone, and they usually are not paired. I have spent hours trying to resolve the problems without success. Either the earbuds I have are defective or they are poorly designed and manufactured. Do NOT purchase these earbuds.
